So the Texas Best Music Fest was a fantastic concert and fundraiser for Champions Kids Camp. It was not only our first ever sold-out event for CKC, but our first time to break past $100k! That puts us well on our way to our goals for this Summer. Kim and I enjoyed playing for our VIP's, and can't wait for what next year will bring. In other news, I am currently spending most of my time writing, not for a song this time, but for my new book! Yes, after years of people telling me I should write about my life in the music business, John Hardy Publishing signed me to a book deal to do just that. We've still got a lot of work to do on it (I've lived a long time!), but I'll let you know as we get ready to release it.
The 3rd Annual Texas Best Music Fest
Come out and see us at the 3rd Annual Texas Best Music Fest April 25th at Warehouse Live, Houston! We'll be playing in the VIP party, and then you can stick around to hear two fantastic bands, Reckless Kelly, and the Turnpike Troubadours. The best part is it all raises money for our charity, Champions Kids Camp. Find out more info at http://TexasBMF.com.

The Holidays are once again upon us and it's time to make your reservations for the 13th Annual Nash Bash New Year's Eve Party. Champions Kids Camp 2014
Thank you, thank you, thank you to anybody and everybody who helped make our 13th Annual Champions Kids Camp a wonderful success. We had nearly 200 children this year who are all survivors of an injury, illness, or personal loss, such as the loss of a parent or sibling. We'd love for you to get involved with this great cause. Please visit www.championskidscamp.org to find out more about volunteering, donating, and other ways to show your support.
Tuesday, April 15th, Kim and I will be on "Real Life Real Music" with host, Kyle Hutton, at Dosey Doe's Big Barn in the Woodlands. We've played there many times, but this will be our first time on the RLRM broadcast. Tickets are available on Dosey Doe's site. We'll be sharing stories and songs, and we'd love to have you in the audience with us. They've got some great food there as well, so come hungry!
Some New-Old Fashioned Music
We're very excited to announce this week that Cloverdale Music is re-issuing some classic gospel music from the original Nash Family Trio circa 1960 with the "Sing Hallelujah" EP. The title song is being featured in the new film, "Big Significant Things," starring Harry Lloyd from "Game of Thrones", which just debuted at SXSW. The 6-song EP is now available on iTunes, and has some great, hand-clapping, old-timey gospel picking, with family harmony that will dare you not to smile. You can check it out here!
2nd Annual Texas Best Music Fest and Golf Tournament
Kim and I are thrilled once again to be hosting the 2nd Annual Texas Best Music Fest and Golf Tournament, which benefits our charity, Champions Kids Camp. Our headliner this year is Texas favorite, Roger Creager! His loyal following and high energy performances are legendary in Texas, and we're bring him in to help raise money and bring more children to camp. It's all happening March 29th at Warehouse Live. Tickets are on sale now! Afterwards, on March 31st, we will be having our TBMF Golf Tournament at Sweetwater Country Club. It's one of those rare times where you can take a mulligan and feel good about it because it all goes to help the kids.
Go to TexasBMF.com to find out more info. We hope to see you there!
On The Road Again
We hope everyone is off to a fantastic 2014. Kim and I keep thinking each year we might slow down a little...but it looks like it won't be this year. We were honored to be featured in 2013 on the Daystar Gospel Music Showcase, and to once again perform at Lakewood Church to finish off the year. Afterwards, we've been receiving more requests than ever to perform all across the country, and I've got to say, we do love being back on the road. As Willie Nelson said, it's the closest thing to being free. So here's to kicking off a great new year, and we hope to see you all out there on the road in 2014.
Thanks! - Bill and Kim
Give the Gift of Songwriting
If you're looking for a gift this year for that special musically inclined someone, take a look at "Say It With A Song." Hosted by Bill & Kim Nash, this instructional DVD gives insight into the inner-workings of what makes a good song a "hit." The "10 Commandments of Songwriting" in the video apply to any genre, and give the viewer the benefit of years of songwriting experience. It's available now in the online store.
Bill & Kim at Lakewood Church
Bill & Kim were recently asked to perform at Lakewood Church for a special service celebrating Dodie Osteen's 80th Birthday. They were honored to come sing and celebrate with her and the Osteen family. Thanks to everyone at Lakewood for such a great weekend!
iTunes Charity Single
Jimmy Nash has just released his new single, "Do More Today." For every purchase, iTunes will donate 100% of the proceeds to Champions Kids Camp. The release comes with a brand new music video that features nearly 200 campers from CKC. You can check out the song and download it here, or watch the video below. Nobody has to give a lot, but a lot of people can give a little, and it all adds up for a great cause.
Bill & Kris Reunited
Bill recently had a chance to reunite with Kris Kristofferson at his concert in Maryland. As many of you know, Bill is the first one to ever record one of Kris' songs with his version of "For The Good Times." Kris asked Bill to get up and sing the song with him as a duet for the first time in over 20 years since they last performed together.
